So not a lot of kids come to our house for trick-or-treating
because our house is at the end of the street.
So we had a LOT of candy left over from Halloween, especially SNICKERS bars.
That was perfectly ok with me because I decided to make
a cookie with the left over Fun Size SNICKERS bars!
And what a TREAT!
And you can never have too much chocolate, so I added some chocolate chips as well :)
Use any of your leftover candy with this great Chocolate cookie recipe!
You will LOVE it!
Ingredients:
makes 3 1/2 dozen
3/4 c butter, room temp
1/3 c shortening
1 c sugar
2/3 c brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 c flour
2/3 cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
12 fun size SNICKERS bars, chopped
1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Beat 3/4 c butter, 1/3 c shortening, 1 c sugar and 2/3 c brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in 2 eggs and 2 tsp vanilla.
- In a separate bowl whisk 2 c flour, 2/3 c cocoa powder, 1 tsp baking soda and 1/4 tsp salt.
- Chop up 12 fun size SNICKERS bars. Add to batter.
- Mix in 1/2 c chocolate chips.
- Store in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Scoop onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.
- Cool on baking sheet for 6-7 minutes to allow caramel to cool before moving to cooling rack.
