Christmas Recipe Round-up

Picture taken by Alecia Dawn Photography

Christmas with my family was really fun this year!  My brothers and my sisters haven't been together for Christmas in 5 or 6 years?!?  I don't know...I can't remember!  But we really had a blast!  The cooking was amazing...as always!  This year we decided to take turns in cooking.  Each couple/ sibling was assigned their own night to cook.  I didn't want to worry about taking pictures of the food and such but I can give you links to where you can find the recipes that were used.  Some recipes I will have to recreate myself and post them on my blog later in the future (either unable to find online or self-created by my family).  So here it goes on the recipes I or my family used over the Christmas Break!

To Share with my family, I made my 3 favorite cookies:

Chewy Snickerdoodles
Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies

My Mom made these cookies:

Pumpkin White Chocolate Chip Cookies (cream cheese frosting)

White Chocolate Raspberry Cookies

My sister-in-law, Staci, made Chocolate Crinkle cookies:

Here is a similar recipe, Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

On Christmas Morning, I made:

For Christmas Dinner, here are some of the recipes that were used...

Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Made by my Mom

For Pies I made:

After straining out the cooked coconut, I added a fresh 1 1/2 c of sweetened coconut to the filling
(I didn't want just cream in the pie).

And I used whipped cream instead of making the meringue topping.
It was Delicious!

I also made a White Chocolate Berry Cream Pie (sorry, no picture)

2 whole packages of baking white chocolate (melted)
1 tub whipped cream (not frozen)
1 package of mixed frozen berries (defrosted)
1 graham cracker crust

Directions:  Mix all ingredients in a bowl and pour into graham cracker crust and refrigerate until ready to eat.

Here is a list of all the recipes used throughout the week for dinner!

Corn Casserole made by my mom

Fresh Broccoli Salad made by my Mom

Probably my favorite recipe all week! Delicious!

Mica made this delicious Cornbread, Sausage, and Pecan Stuffing

I made my favorite chili recipe.

Chris made Curried Coconut Chicken over Rice
Here is a very similar recipe!

My Sisters, Katy and Julia, made this amazing Cheeseburger Soup.

All-in-All, Every one of These recipes are ABSOLUTE WINNERS!

Enjoy!
